Can Transitioning from Puppy Food to Dog Food Cause Loose Stools?

Anytime you make a change to your dog's diet it could cause loose stool and upset stomach. It can also cause vomiting in some more extreme cases.

When making the change, be sure to change over very slowly. We recommend that you add a small amount (a small handful) of the new food every day or two until you get changed over to all new food. This should take 3 to 6 weeks depending on the size of the dog and how much food is being fed.
