You can do several things to minimize the problem.

    1). Raise your dog's self esteem
    2). Remove the over-excitement.
    3). When possible, take the dog out a few minutes before your guests arrive.

Excited peeing can be a result of low confidence levels. One of the best ways to raise confidence is to build a bond between you and your dog. Then work on basic training. Rewarding good behaviors will raise self esteem very quickly in most dogs.

To remove over-excitement, begin by putting a leash on the dog and make her "sit-stay" quietly somewhere away from the door. Put a rug, dog bed or towel on the floor as a visual reference. When she begins to get excited, correct her and make her sit quietly again. Doing this will show her that she must remain calm in order to meet people and be a part of family.

When guests come in, tell them that they MUST IGNORE her at first. Keep your greetings very low key. Make then seem like no big deal. The dog should respond by staying more calm.

Keeping her calm for the first 5 minutes or so is the key. Don't say anything, don't give eye contact and don't touch her as you and your guests come into the house. After your guests have been in the house for a few minutes they can quietly pet, play and say hi to her. Just make sure to stay calm around her so she doesn't get over excited.

In the beginning you may want to take the dog outside before your guests arrive. You can also make the first greetings out in the yard to minimize clean-up.
