Which
TV Trainer Do you Recommend?
ANSWER:
As with any subject of interest or personal belief, it
can be dangerous to follow only one philosophy or teacher.
The same is true for dog training. The recent rise in TV
based dog trainers has spurred many discussions and even
a few heated arguments.
Every dog
is different, and every situation is different.
Subscribing to one line of training is not only
dangerous, it's irresponsible! Taking in all of the
information you can, from as many sources you can, will
give you a wider variety of knowledge and more possible
options to consider when you are presented with a given
situation. Keeping your mind open to any and all
training methods will allow you to determine which of
these methods you feel are right for you and your dog.
No matter
which method, or combination of methods you chose to
employee to train your dog, you must always remember to
do what is best for the animal. If your dog is not
happy, or doesn't like you, you will never get your dog
to respond to your training. Methods that do not
support physical health and mental balance should never
be used.
