ABOUT THE DRIVER
For more than forty years, Team Owner and Driver, Michael Albee has been more than just an automobile enthusiast. He has been involved in Aftermarket Auto Parts Sales, Auto Body/Collision Repair, Commercial Truck Equipment Sales and Repair and has also owned a successful Classic Car restoration business.

Because of this involvement, he has designed, built and maintained several classic cars and street rods including a "mild custom" 1948 Mercury five passenger coupe.

Since the early 1970's he has also been interested in most forms of auto racing. Even as a student in high school, many evenings and weekends were spent attending Sprint Car and Stock Car racing events, and he also made frequent visits to the area drag strips. He often remarked that he always wanted to race his own vehicle in competition, but up until recent years it had not been possible for a variety of reasons. 

In the fall of 1999, almost by accident, he purchased his first Thunderbird Super Coupe. Taken by it's rather impressive performance, when the opportunity presented itself again in 2002, he purchased a second one without hesitation. That car is the 1991 Thunderbird SC you see on this website. At that time, he made the decision that this would be the car he would finally put into competition on the drag strip.

The car has been in competition for several years. With some additional support from a few sponsors, several new upgrades can be made to bring even more attention to our racing program and our sponsors.
