ALBEE MOTORSPORTS
DRAG RACING NEWS
& ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ready
Willing & Able
 (March
10, 2008) -
With two full seasons of drag racing under our belt, three Event Wins,
three Second place finishes and more than ten Semi-Final round appearances it
would be easy to assume that ALBEE Motorsports would have what it takes
to win a Summit Series Championship in the Sportsman Division at
TriState Raceway
this coming season. And if you actually assumed that, you would be right!!!
Going into the
2008 season, we have examined our performance to this point and we have determined
the car and team are performing better than we could have expected.
We are very pleased to see that some fine-tuning in our setup has worked
well and the car is performing much more consistently than it had
in the past.
Transmission
problems plagued the last half of the 2007 season and it ultimately cost
us a season championship.
With the assurance of our transmission builder, that our new transmission
will be much stronger, we feel very confident that a 2008 championship bid
is well within our reach.
As we
begin to move into hotter and more humid weather, our car
should be more consistent
as
we are making changes to the air intake and supercharger.
And with the implementation of a few other changes we discovered over
the winter break, our quarter-mile times should be faster and more stable.
Moving
forward, we see a lot of good things coming in our racing program. If we
can continue without any major problems, we should be right on target to
achieve our preseason goals and continue to move forward.
