2004 Fall Car Cruise
(3rd Annual Northeast Iowa Car Cruise)

(September 28, 2004) - Our 3rd Annual Fall Car Cruise to Northeast Iowa was held Saturday September 25th. 10 club members and guests spent the day viewing the fall landscape and cruising the twisting and turning roads of Northeast Iowa.

As in previous years, our journey began in Independence, Iowa. We pulled out at 9:30 and winded our way along both county and state highways taking in some of the most beautiful, breath-taking views that our state has to offer. We also did a little "Performance Driving" on the twisty roads .... if you know what I mean!?!?!?!

One of the most memorable stretches of last year's cruise was a stretch of road that has been nicknamed "The ROLLER COASTER"!!!!!!! Other than "Roller Coaster" it's hard to explain, so you'll need to join the cruise to find out exactly what everyone is talking about!!!!!

This year the route included some of last year's favorite roads as well as a few new ones on the Wisconsin side of the river. (See '04 Cruise Map).

After a full day of cruising and having fun, our route took us to the town of Gunder were we were able to feast on some really great food! The restaurant is called The Shanti, and the food is amazing!

The size of the menu will fool you if you aren't careful, but if you leave the restaurant hungry, it's your own fault! (Menu).

If you missed the cruise last year, you REALLY missed out on a lot of fun..... So, DON'T MISS OUT AGAIN. Based on all of the big grins that were on everybody's faces at supper that night, I'd say that all of them are planning to be back again next year!
