6:30am-7:30am Travel to Lou Mitchell’s Restaurant for Breakfast
7:30am-8:30am Breakfast at Lou Mitchell’s
8:30am   Start of Run down Route 66
9:45am-10:15am Visit Launching Pad Cafe
11:45am-12:00pm  Visit Odell Gas Station
2:00pm-2:30pm Visit Funks Grove
2:45-3:45pm Dixie Truckers Home, McLean, IL
7:30 Arrival at Holiday Inn/St Louis Airport

Day Three-August 15^th

8:00am Depart Holiday Inn/St Louis Airport
8:30-8:45 Route 66 State Park
9:00am The Diamonds
11:50-12:20 Route 66 Motors, Rolla, MO
1:15-1:45 Drive the old Devil’s Elbow Section
3:00-3:15 Munger Moss Motel, Lebanon, MO
5:00-5:15 Site of Wild Bill Hickok Shootout
8:00pm Arrive at Holiday Inn/Joplin, MO

Day Four-August 16^th

8:00am Depart Holiday Inn/Joplin, Mo
9:00-9:15 Afton, OK-DX Station
10:15-10:30 Claremore, OK-Will Rogers Memorial
1:00-1:15 Chandler, OK-Seaba Station
2:15-2:30 OKC Bombing Memorial
5:00 Arrive at Holiday Inn Express, Weatherford, OK

Day Five-August 17^th

6:30am Depart Holiday Inn Express/Weatherford, OK
7:00-8:00 Oklahoma Route 66 Museum, Clinton, OK
9:00-10:00 Sand Hills Curiosity Shop, Erick, OK
12:00 Arrival in Amarillo, TX. We will check in at the Holiday Inn, freshen up and immediately head to Ron Clark Ford to prepare for the Show n Shine.
3:00-5:00 Show n Shine
5:00-7:00 Freetime for group-attend Polk Street Festival, relax at hotel, whatever.
7:00-7:30 Meet at Ron Clark Ford
7:30 Head to Palo Duro Canyon State Park for performance of “Texas!”

Day Six-August 18^th

8:00am Depart Holiday Inn/Amarillo
9:45-10:00 Blue Swallow, Tucumcari, NM
12:00-1:00 Route 66 Museum, Santa Rosa, NM
3:45pm Arrive at Holiday Inn-Mountain View, Albuquerque, NM
5:00  Depart for Albuquerque Country Club
5:00-8:00 Display and Dinner at Albuquerque CC
8:15 Arrive back at Holiday Inn-Mountain View

Day Seven-August 19^th

8:00am Depart Holiday Inn-Mountain View
1:15-2:15 Painted Desert/Petrified Forest
6:00pm Arrive at MountainSide Resort, Williams, AZ

Day Eight-August 20^th

6:30am Depart for Grand Canyon
7:45 am Arrive at Grand Canyon Nat’l Park
12:00pm Depart for Williams, AZ
1:15pm Arrive in Williams

The rest of the day can be spent however the group wants to.

This marks the end of the First Annual “Thunder on 66.” Debbie and I have to be back home for a wedding, so we will be leaving Monday morning (August 26th) at 6am to head back to Iowa. The rest are welcome to follow Route 66 back to Chicago, or make their separate ways back home from Amarillo.
